Malo, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Malo is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. He is a young child who lives in Ordon Village with his two parents, Jaggle and Pergie, and his older brother, Talo. Despite his age, Malo is shown to be both intelligent and mature, and is also very stern.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, early in the game when Malo's friends talk Link into showcasing his sword or slingshot, Malo continually makes disparaging or sarcastic remarks under his breath as his friends gush over Link's skill. However, there are instances where Malo is left speechless and visibly impressed with Link's deeds. At one point, Talo and his friends chase after a monkey that has been causing trouble in Ordon Village. As Talo ventures deeper into the forest, Malo is unable to keep up, and warns Link to be careful when he passes by.

Later, when Link is reunited with Ordon Village's children in Kakariko Village, Malo takes over the village's abandoned shop and turns it into Malo Mart. Malo sells an exclusive item here, the Hawkeye.

After Link completes the Goron Mines and restores the friendship between humans and Gorons, the Goron elders, in a partnership with Malo, start a donation campaign to repair the eastern bridge to Hyrule Castle Town. Once the donation amount of 1,000 Rupees has been reached and the bridge is rebuilt, Malo begins a second donation campaign to take over Chudley's Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium in Hyrule Castle Town. The initial goal is 2,000 Rupees, but this can be lowered to 200 Rupees if Link helps out Gor Liggs's son. Once this second donation goal is reached, Chudley's Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium is bought out by Malo and converted into the Malo Mart Castle Branch. Chudley is kept as an employee, and the store's previously overpriced merchandise, including the Magic Armor, is made available for a much lower price.

At the end of Link's adventure, the children of Ordon Village, including Malo and Talo, are reunited with their families.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there is an unlockable trophy and a sticker of Malo. His sticker grants a +19 launch resistance bonus.
