History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, the Necklace is the twelfth item of the trading sequence. It belongs to a Mermaid, who lost it while swimming in Martha's Bay. She offers Link one of her scales if he is able to find it. The Necklace is obtained after giving the fishing hook to the Fisherman in the bay, who will catch it while fishing and give it to Link.

The Necklace was a Pink Bra in the original Japanese, French, and German versions of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

Alora, Link: The Faces of Evil

In Link: The Faces of Evil, the Necklace is found in a cavern near the top of Spearfish Falls, held by a Gleeok that uses the cave as its den. It used to belong to Alora in Toyku Lighthouse, and was a gift from her husband. Once Link returns the Necklace to her, Alora kisses him and rewards him with a Canteen.
