Astrid is a fortune-teller who resides on the Isle of Ember in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. She is first found locked in her own basement due to forseeing the Ghost Ship arriving, but apparently not forseeing being trapped. Only her assistant, Kayo, actually knows how to open the door, though he has died, presumably due to the Ghost Ship. Nevertheless, his ghost helps Link open the door, and Astrid is freed. Astrid is grateful for being freed, and as such will henceforth tell Link's fortune for free. As such, the player can speak with her if they need direction.

The first time she tells Link's fortune is right after being saved. She advises Link to travel up to the Temple of Fire atop the mountain and defeat the evil presence within to save the Spirit of Power. When spoken to afterwards, she tells him he needs to find three spirits to save Tetra.

If spoken to after the Regal Necklace is obtained, she reveals she is actually descended from the lost Cobble civilization, as is Kayo.
