In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening]]'', Blaino is the primary guardian of [[Turtle Rock]], being the only one of the numerous guardians encountered within to be unique to it, not respawn, and create a two-way warp to the entrance. He can only be effectively attacked with the [[sword]], which he blocks from the front with his mitts. Blaino has three attacks, which are a normal (and often repeated) punch to knock [[Link]] back, a quick, long punch to stun him, and a charged uppercut that sends him all the way back to the dungeon's entrance if it connects. Once he is beaten, the path to the [[Magic Rod]] opens.
