Deku Toad is a giant, fat, millenary Toadpoli encountered as the miniboss of the Lakebed Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Similarly to the Twilit Bloat, it disgusts Midna so much she refuses to give advice on it. Several factors of its battle seem to be inspired by Wart in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It stores eggs in its back, similar to the nonfictional Surinam toad.

Deku Toad is found in a round, isolated room in the temple accessed by a water-filled tunnel. It first climbs on giant stalactite on the ceiling, occasionally dropping its baby Toados. Once Link looks up at it, it drops down to face him. In battle, it first shakes off several eggs from its back and watches the Toados attack Link. Once he defeats all the babies, it leaps high into the air and attempts to squash him. When it hits the floor, it becomes dazed and its tongue lulls out, which is its weak point. After the tongue is slashed a few times, it gets up and repeats the cycle. Doing this three times defeats it, causing it to cough up a bile-covered Treasure Chest - containing the Clawshot - and explode.
