From the [[Great Sea]], Dragon Roost Island's grid square coordinates are B6.

Being a volcanic area, Dragon Roost Island has only a few sources of water and little vegetation besides the [[Bomb Flower]]s, although these can grow in harsh environments. The main settlement of the Rito tribe is inside a cave found at the base of the island. From there, the Rito run a nearby [[Mail Center]], in which they serve as the main postal service of the Great Sea. Behind the Rito's settlement is a path leading to the first dungeon, [[Dragon Roost Cavern]]. Separating it from the Mail Center is the [[Dragon Roost Pond]], a dried-up pond that Link must refill so that he can swim over to Dragon Roost Cavern. Much later on, [[Link]] can access another dungeon, the [[Wind Shrine]], which is dedicated to the wind gods [[Cyclos]] and [[Zephos]].
