'''Lon Lon Ranch''' is a ranch that appears in a few of ''[[The Legend of Zelda (series)|The Legend of Zelda]]'' games. It first appears in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time]]''. The ranch is owned by [[Talon]] and his daughter, [[Malon]].

In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask]]'' there is a similar ranch named [[Romani Ranch]]. It is owned by run by [[Cremia]] and her younger sister, [[Romani]]. The background music is the same as in ''The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time''  but without Malon's singing.

In ''The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time'', Lon Lon Ranch is located in the center of [[Hyrule Field]]. The four main buildings are the house, the stables, the Cucco coop, and the storage shed. The ranch raises [[Cucco]]s, [[cow]]s and [[horse]]s, including [[Epona]]. The interior of the ranch has a corral for training and raising the horses, where they also graze. The entire ranch is situated on a rocky plateau and is protected by a high, wooden fence crowned by metal spires. Despite Lon Lon Ranch being a prominent location, [[Link]] is not required to visit it to complete the game.

As a child, [[Link]] can learn [[Epona's Song]] from Malon after he wakes up Talon at [[Hyrule Castle]]. In their house, Talon hosts a [[Super Cucco-findin' Game]], where Link must find three [[Super Cucco]]s to be rewarded a [[bottle]] of [[Lon Lon Milk]]. He can also find a [[Piece of Heart]] inside a stone building.

When Link returns to Lon Lon Ranch as an adult, he learns that [[Ganondorf]] gave Ingo ownership over the ranch. During his takeover, Ingo renamed the place "Ingo Ranch". Ever since Talon was kicked out, he took refuge at [[Kakariko Village]]. With the help of [[Epona]], Link beats Ingo in a horse race. As a reward, Ingo allows Link to keep Epona, although he closes the gates to prevent Link from leaving Lon Lon Ranch. Link can escape with Epona by having her jump over the outer fence.

If Link returns to the ranch, he finds that Ingo changed from his evil ways, and Talon moves back in to regain ownership of Lon Lon Ranch. Link can also play a mini-game where he races Epona through an obstacle course set up by Malon. If Link breaks Malon's record time, she rewards him by taking a Cow over to [[Link's house|his house]].

In the ending, various characters are seen on Lon Lon Ranch, celebrating the defeat of Ganondorf.

In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D]]'', there is a carved drawing of Talon and Malon in the farmhouse's bedroom when Link is a child, hidden by two pots. If Link returns as an adult, it is replaced with a picture of Link from ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword]]''.

===''The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures''===
In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures]]'', Lon Lon Ranch is located in [[The Field]]. When the Links first enters The Field, they encounter Malon, who is trying to return to the ranch. Because of the enemy [[Guard (enemy)|Guard]]s, the Links must escort Malon back. When they do, Talon rewards them by giving them access to his store of [[carrot]]s, which allows them to ride Epona and reach another section of The Field.

In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap]]'', Lon Lon Ranch is located to the east of [[Hyrule Town]]. The ranch is a lot smaller than in its debut appearance, because it only has one horse and a few cows.

During the adventure, when Link visits Lon Lon Ranch, he finds that Talon and Malon cannot enter their house because Talon lost the key. Link can find the [[Lon Lon Ranch key]] if he uses the [[Pegasus Boots]] to ram into a nearby tree, revealing a [[Portal (The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap)|portal]], and then entering a small hole into their house. When Link gives the key to Talon, he gratefully allows Link to use their house as a shortcut into [[Lake Hylia]].

One of the Tingle Brothers, [[Ankle]], is found on a cliff in the southern area of Lon Lon Ranch, and Link can optionally fuse [[Kinstone piece]]s with him. He can also do this with one of the ranch's cows, whose name is [[Elsie]]. Lon Lon Ranch has a cave with a [[Treasure Chest]] which contains 50 [[rupee]]s.

There is a [[figurine]] of Lon Lon Ranch, which shows Talon, Malon, a cow, and a small horse, who is carrying two bottles of Lon Lon Milk in a wheelbarrow, standing in a patch of grass. There is a haystack to the top-right and two white fence parts on top.

Lon Lon Ranch does not appear in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds]]'', although the [[Milk Bar Owner]] of Hyrule mentions that his milk comes from Lon Lon Ranch.

*In an interview, [[Shigeru Miyamoto]] said that he originally imagined a scene in ''The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time'' where Ingo sets the ranch on fire in a frenzy and Epona jumps out of the ranch on a backdrop of flames.
