Page 21.</ref> is the baboon boss of the [[monkey]]s from ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess]]''. He carries the [[Gale Boomerang]], and like the monkeys, lives in the [[Forest Temple]]. Some time before the player sees him, he was taken control by a large parasitic creature resembling a [[Shadow Insect]] that latched to his head, leading him to ally with monsters and attack and imprison the other monkeys. Link does not see him until he explores the temple, where Ook uses the boomerang to cut a large bridge and halt Link's progress, then taunts him by slapping his own rear at him.

Soon after, Link encounters Ook again in a large room full of totem poles, and a miniboss battle ensues. Ook leaps between the tops of the poles, occasionally stopping to throw the boomerang at Link or some [[Baba Serpent]]s on the ceiling, cutting the latter down to fight Link. To damage Ook, Link needs to bash into a pole after Ook has thrown the boomerang, disorienting him enough that the returning weapon knocks him off the pole, causing him to land with his rear upwards. From hear, Link can damage him by attacking his buttocks, but he will get up and resume shortly after.

After enough hits, a disoriented Ook will stumble around and accidentally bang his head against a pole, crushing and knocking off the parasite. Having regained his senses, Ook notices Link and flees in terror, leaving the boomerang behind. Ook makes a final appearance to assist Link in defeating [[Diababa]] by swinging across the battlefield while carrying [[Bombling (enemy)|Bombling]]s for him to use.
