In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Chilfos appear patrolling Snowpeak Ruins and corresponding floors of the Cave of Ordeals. Sometimes, they instead start as icicles on the ceiling that will fall when approached or hit with an arrow. Behaviorally, they are quite similar to Moblins in previous games, throwing their spears before summoning a new one at long range and swinging or jabbing with them at close range. They can also defend using their spears, but due to their icy nature, they shatter after enough damage is dealt against them. Chilfos take a few moments to summon a new spear, during which time Link can attack them. Similar to the spears, the upper half of Chilfos themselves will shatter after sufficient damage, causing the legs to keel over. Sufficiently powerful attacks can destroy them in one hit, such as the Helm Splitter, Back Slice, Jump Strike, or Ball and Chain.

Both the rooms before the Ordon Pumpkin and the Bedroom Key have Chilfos spawning from falling icicles, with two for the first one and nine for the second one.
