In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Ganondorf becomes Dark Beast Ganon after Midna removes him from Zelda's body after fighting the [[|Zelda (possessed)|possessed Zelda]]. Here, he is a quadruped with no anthropomorphic qualities, and several of his boar-like traits are combined with lion-like traits. He charges around the room in circles and often warps away after a short amount of time. He then summons several red twilight portals back-to-back, with one eventually becoming blue, signaling he will charge forth from it. Wolf Link must meet him head-on, allowing Midna to use her hair to throw him, and allowing Link to attack his underside, which still has the wound from the Sages' Sword. If Wolf Link follows beside him as he runs, he continues until enough distance is put between then, after which he usually charges head on without using portals. Sometimes after warping away, he instead drops from the ceiling. After he is defeated, Zelda's life force returns to her, but Ganon becomes a giant fiery version of Ganondorf's head. Midna warps Link and Zelda away and uses the Fused Shadows to fight him, but ends up losing. Zelda summons the power of the four Spirits of Light to create the Light Arrows, and a horseback battle with Ganondorf commences.
