In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker]]'', Miniblins appear on many islands across the [[Great Sea]], with the first possible encounter with them being in the first visit to the [[Forsaken Fortress]], where they are in the soup room. They appear in four colors, though there is no functional difference between them and as such simply seems to be for variety. They move around quickly through short hops, and can even do this along the sides of walls. When they begin their attack, they will first alert the player of their presence with a distinct "Nay nay!" vocalization, which they continue throughout their attack in various ways. They begin spawning en masse from offscreen, quickly swarming Link while jabbing with their weapons. They are individually neither strong nor durable, but the swarm will continue spawning until eventually, they all start to flee, including over rocks and into the sea itself.

In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass]]'', Miniblins are now all red. Their distinct call has been replaced by a quieter, vaguely monkey-like screech, and they always appear pre-spawned patrolling a small area, though again in groups. They take two hits from the first [[sword]]. They first appear on the [[Isle of Gust]] and the [[Uncharted Island]] as one of their main inhabitants. Additionally, yellow, fish-like [[Umi Blin]]s appear from [[Pirate Ship (obstacle)|Pirate Ship]]s and aboard the southwestern [[Traveler's Ship]], the latter of which can be encountered before normal Miniblins.

In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks]]'', Miniblins appear as they do in ''Phantom Hourglass'', though the Umi Blins are replaced with normal Miniblins. Normal Miniblins first appear in an unavoidable encounter in the [[Ocean Realm]] when escorting [[Carben]], and must be fended off along with their leader, a [[Moblin Chief|Big Blin]]. Failing to protect him results in a [[Game Over]], though once the [[Pirate Hideout]] is accessible, losing a passenger to them will simply mean they need to be rescued. Additionally, aside from ships, they have [[Pirate Tank]]s for land. A special type of Miniblin called a [[Mounted Miniblin]] rides an [[Armos]] and appears before the normal type.

Miniblins can be found throughout the Pirate Hideout itself; if the front door is entered, they can be seen dining at tables across a gap and cannot be attacked, even through [[arrow]]s, though if Link enters through a dialogue prompt outside, they appear as the targets for a shooting gallery minigame for rescuing a prisoner. During the first portion, they move horizontally across the room, eventually stopping to throw a cage at Link. If the cage hits Link, the rescue fails, though he simply ends up back outside. During the second and third portions, they ride [[mine cart]]s around Link, still throwing cages after a while. During the final portion, eight appear standing still on the sides of the track and do not throw cages. They can still be shot for points, but this can take away from the time the player has to shoot the Big Blin guarding the exit.

In ''[[Hyrule Warriors Legends]]'', Miniblins appear as the main enemy troops for the new ''The Wind Waker''-inspired chapter, as well as appearing in several scenarios on new [[Adventure Mode]] maps. They are once again all red, with the alternate troop types having various helmets. Also, the captains are larger than normal Miniblins.
