In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the charging Spear Soldiers again appear in green and red. This time, the charging red ones have the horned helmet design. Both have trident-like spears and small shields. A group of red ones released directly by Yuga midway up inside Hyrule Castle charge far more aggressively than others, similar to the horned indigo Sword Soldiers from A Link to the Past, though on revisits to this room they act as normal. Green ones are fairly common across Hyrule, while red ones only appear at Hyrule Castle.

Spear Throwing Soldiers have a single variety in this game, which has red basic armor but is found out in the open. It is less aggressive than the ones in A Link to the Past, backing away from Link like the Bow Soldiers. The spears they throw slowly descend, limiting their range when on Link's level. As such, they are sometimes stationed on high platforms over him. The spears they carry have only a single wide point. They also only appear around Hyrule Castle.

Once again, Taros and Moblins act as analogs, now in Lorule. In Lorule Castle, one type of Lorule Soldier also acts like Spear Soldiers.
