Taroses, formerly named Moblin Pikemen, are Minotaur enemies that appear in both The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. They have horned heads and mismatched white eyes, and wield different weapons depending on their strength. Taroses attack Link by charging at him and can use their weapons to parry Link's own attacks. The name Taros is based on "taurus," which is the Latin word for "bull."

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Moblin Pikemen are the Dark World equivalent of both Sword Soldiers and the charging types of Spear Soldiers, appearing with four white horns and wearing indigo or red armor. Indigo Moblin Pikemen wield a staff with a rounded tip, and red Moblin Pikemen wield a trident. The indigo Moblin Pikemen are encountered throughout the Dark World, and the stronger red ones are less common but are also encountered in Ganon's Tower.

In the comic adaptation of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past by Shotaro Ishinomori, Moblin Pikemen appear twice, where they have black fur and yellow eyes. The first one appears guarding the entrance to the Palace of Darkness in Chapter 7, where it eyes the disguised Link suspiciously as he enters. Later in Chapter 8, Link is accosted by another Moblin Pikeman and a Hinox in the Swamp Palace while it is dry. Due to a fountain being activated in the Light World at the Watergate Prairie, the room is quickly filled with water, and the Moblin Pikeman reveals he cannot swim and clings to the Hinox, inadvertently dragging them both under.

In Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda, Taroses appear as one of the new enemies in the future Hyrule found in updated versions of the digital release and the base version of the physical release. They very closely resemble their models from A Link Between Worlds and come in red and blue, though now the former is weaker. Both types wield large tridents which they point one space in front of them when they see the player character. The trident can be batted away by attacking it, allowing the Taros to be attacked as well. Alternatively, they can be attacked from the side or back.
