The Wii Zapper is a controller peripheral for the Wii, developed and distributed by Nintendo in 2007. It is a plastic shell designed for the Wii Remote to be inserted into the barrel and the Nunchuck to be inserted into the handle. The main purpose for the Zapper is to make shooting games with pointer controls feel more realistic and intuitive, as the player feels like they have an actual gun in their hands. Link's Crossbow Training was bundled with the peripheral at launch, and has yet to be rereleased in any capacity.
