In The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Wisps appear with their colors from Four Swords. However, the red ones act like the original Bubbles, while the blue ones are a faster version of them. A red one is first found in a cave at Veil Falls, and both colors appear alongside each other in Dark Hyrule Castle. When Link is cursed, the Wisp vanishes, he cannot use any item, and a ring of the Wisp's fire surrounds his sprite until it wears off, at which point the Wisp reappears. Hitting a Wisp with the boomerang causes it to disappear until the room is exited, and they can be defeated fully by sucking them into the Gust Jar or shooting them with an arrow.
