In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Zazaks appear in the Thieves' Hideout and only use their original behavior prior to seeing Link, after which they pursue him incessantly in a lumbering manner. They primarily appear while helping the Thief Girl to escape, appearing in groups and attempting to reach her. If they do, she and Link will be taken back to her cell. In one room, there is a Crystal Switch that opens a huge, room-spanning trapdoor to get rid of all of them at once. Appearance-wise, they lack the plated skirts and lack pupils. Red ones are unique to the Treacherous Tower and no longer shoot fire, being simply a more durable version of the indigo ones.
In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Zazaks have changed completely in behavior. They appear in certain rooms of the Thieves' Hideout while helping the Thief Girl to escape. They always appear in large groups, and walk towards the duo in a lumbering manner, attempting to reach the Thief Girl. If they do, she and Link will be taken back to her cell.
