If one hits Link anywhere but his [[shield]], he will be frozen, but the Ice Keese's chilliness will vanish. In a few rooms, they can use the braziers of [[Blue Fire]] to restore their coldness. Like other [[Keese]], they can be easily defeated with [[arrow]]s.

If frozen, the player must free Link by rapidly rubbing the stylus horizontally across the screen.

If the player attacks at this time, the character gets frozen, preventing them from moving or being damaged.
