The Legend of Zelda series
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Ice Keese first appear in the Ice Cavern. Unlike Fire Keese, their bodies are roughly the same color as those of normal Keese, though have a slightly less green tint. If one hits Link anywhere but his shield, he will be frozen, but the Ice Keese's chilliness will vanish. In a few rooms, they can use the braziers of Blue Fire to restore their coldness. Like other Keese, they can be easily defeated with arrows.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Ice Keese first appear flying around in the blizzard on the cliffside in Snowhead, later appearing beneath the Well. In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, their body colors have inexplicably swapped with those of Fire Keese.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Ice Keese are now a snow-like white color and first appear in Snowpeak in the climbing segment. In Snowpeak Ruins and a few Dig Caverns, they are often found congregated upside-down instead of flying by default. A Shield Bash can knock them to the floor, while the Gale Boomerang can put them out.
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Fire Keese first appear in the Temple of Ice, intermixed among the similar Ice Bubbles. Like normal Keese, they fly around in an aimless looping pattern. They cannot be directly attacked or extinguished at all, but ranged weapons can be used to defeat them. If frozen, the player must free Link by rapidly rubbing the stylus horizontally across the screen.
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
In The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Ice Keese appear as they do in Phantom Hourglass, but can now be extinguished through the whirlwind item. They can restore their mist with ice-producing torches. They first appear as a group miniboss in the Snow Temple, guarding the boomerang.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ice Keese appear at night on cold mountaintops, primarily Mount Lanayru and the Hebra and Gerudo Highlands regions, though they can also be seen as early as Mount Hylia on the Great Plateau. They drop Ice Keese Wings upon defeat.
Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda
In Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda, Ice Keese appear with their design from Breath of the Wild. Like other Keese, they fly cardinally every other beat, though every few beats they become covered with the icy aura for an equal amount of beats. If the player attacks at this time, the character gets frozen, preventing them from moving or being damaged.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Ice Keese again use their Breath of the Wild design and attack like other Keese, swooping at the player characters in groups. They usually appear near other icy enemies, such as Ice Wizzrobes.
