Link and Ezlo use a portal in Deepwood Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

Portals, also named Minish portals,[1] are a type of object in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. They are portals that allow Link to shrink to the size of a Minish. This is necessary in order to talk to the Minish or access certain areas such as the first dungeon, Deepwood Shrine. Portals come in the shape of tree stumps, rocks, and even overturned pots that can be flipped by the Cane of Pacci. Dungeons also have their own uniquely-shaped portals. The most common type of portals are those in the shape of a tree stump.

Whenever Link climbs onto a portal, Ezlo starts chanting, invoking the magic with chants, shrinking Link and himself. A skippable cutscene of Link shrinking inside of the portal is shown, although this was omitted from Minish Portals found in dungeons. Link can return to his original size by repeating the process. Link can go back onto the portal to return to normal size.

Link first comes across a portal in the Minish Woods, which has two shaped like a tree stump. When Link approaches a portal shortly after meeting Ezlo, he explains their purpose to Link.

The entrance to the Temple of Droplets has a unique portal within the ice, and Link can use it to enter the dungeon.
