'''Silver Arrows''' are a special, powerful type of arrow found in earlier games of the ''[[The Legend of Zelda (series)|The Legend of Zelda]]'' franchise. These arrows debuted as the sole weakness of [[Ganon]], causing him to turn to dust, likely a reference to folk tales that treat silver as a holy element deadly to supernatural creatures. In later games, their role is essentially eclipsed by the [[Master Sword]] and [[Light Arrow]]s, with the former sometimes being used to kill [[Ganondorf]] and the latter merely weakening him. Regardless, Silver Arrows are the first item to indicate a [[power to repel evil]].

They deal twice as much damage to normal enemies. Once Ganon has become petrified from enough [[sword]] strikes, hitting him with a Silver Arrow will finish him off, causing him to crumble into ash.

[[Princess Zelda]] wields Roam's crossbow, and after [[Link]] cuts a huge gash in Ganon's chest, Zelda fires an arrow into it. Link, Zelda, Roam's spirit, and the [[maidens]] pour their energy into the arrow, turning it into the Silver Arrow and killing Ganon.
