Super Bombs are a stronger variant of bombs that appear in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. One is sold for 100 rupees at the Bomb Shop, but only after Link has completed the Ice Palace and Misery Mire. The Super Bomb is larger than ordinary bombs, and it follows behind Link instead of appearing under his inventory. The Super Bomb is only required to blast open a thick, cracked wall on the second floor of the Pyramid of Power, allowing Link to enter and visit the Fat Faerie. Even though Link is only required to use one Super Bomb, he can still buy another at the Bomb Shop after using the previous one.

When Link places a Super Bomb, it explodes after three seconds, although Link is not affected by the resulting explosion. If Link performs a Dash Attack or jumps off a ledge, the Super Bomb is left behind. Link can walk into the Super Bomb just before it explodes for the countdown to stop and continue following him.
