Pestos are fly enemies that appear in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. Most of them are red with light green eyes, although there is a less common light blue variant with red eyes.
Pestos are about the same size as normal flies, and Link encounters them in Minish-sized areas. Red Pestos act similar to regular flies, except they move around slower. Their only attack is to fly into Link. Blue Pestos start off by carrying a ball of dirt, and they try to drop it onto Link. After dropping it, the blue Pesto looks for another object to pick up, such as a pot, to also drop onto Link. If Link puts out a bomb, a blue Pesto can pick it up and drop it on Link. Pestos can be defeated instantly from one strike of Link's sword. Link can also defeat a blue Pesto by putting out a Remote Bomb and detonating it while the blue Pesto carries it around.
On Mt. Crenel, there are two small, red Pestos that Link encounters at normal size. Because Pestos are much smaller than Link when he is normal-sized, they cannot damage him in this form. If Link shrinks to Minish size from the nearby portal, he can encounter both Pestos at their usual size.
