The Triforce is an arcade board developed jointly by Namco, SEGA, and Nintendo. The system hardware consists of a retail GameCube board, with a microcontroller-based "Media Board", which connects to a GD-ROM drive or a NAND cart reader. The arcade board is named after the Triforce itself, and its name is a reference to how the three companies collaborated on the project. Despite the arcade board's name, no The Legend of Zelda games have utilized its hardware.
