First appearance The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Blaaz, Master of Fire, otherwise shortened to Blaaz, is the first boss in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and is the boss of the Temple of Fire. It has a purple and black robe and it has pointy teeth. The smaller versions of himself have red jackets.

When Blaaz is fought he spins around and turns into three small versions of itself. These small versions surround and follow the player. They charge a ball of fire after a period of time. If they are hit with the Boomerang they stick to the Boomerang and if all three are hit in the same throw they turn back into Blaaz's larger version. When it is larger it teleports around the area and meteors will fall near it which damages the player if they touch them or the fire that if left behind once they touch the ground. Its larger form will also swing its arm at the player if they are near it knocking the player back upon contact, although this does not do damage. In its larger form it can be damaged with a Sword. After a while its larger form splits back to three. After several hits Blaaz is defeated. When Blaaz is defeated Leaf is rescued and a Chest containing a full Heart Container appears.

In the Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass manga Blaaz appears in the Temple of Fire where he encounters Link and Ciela.
