Chain Chomps are enemies that appear in a few of The Legend of Zelda games, starting with The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. These enemies had their first appearance in the Super Mario series, starting with Super Mario Bros. 3. Chain Chomps were even intended as enemies specific to The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
