Dolls[1] are items that grant an extra life to Link in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. They are dolls made to resemble Link, and even have the same sprite of Link facing south on the overworld.

Link can find six dolls during his adventure, and each one is located in a certain part of the overworld. After Link obtains a doll, another does not appear in its place, even if Link loses a life. If Link uses the Shield Spell, which changes his tunic to red, the dolls also change color accordingly; this is because of the Nintendo Entertainment System's color limitations.
