The Flute is an item in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and the main item of the Ocean Palace. The Flute is a mysterious instrument that plays the ancient music of Hyrule, causing various events to happen. The Flute has two important uses; it is used to defeat a River Devil obstructing a road on the overworld and to reveal the sixth palace, Three-Eye Rock Palace, when Link plays the flute at Three Eye Rock.
