This game is the first appearance of Hylians by name. According to the manual, Hylians are distinguished from other humans with their long, pointed ears, which are capable of hearing the gods. They are also said to have heightened senses and the ability to use magic. The descendants of Hylians spread to various places of the world. Within the contemporary Hylian bloodline, their special characteristics began to wane.
