Faron is one of the Spirits of Light in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and its remake The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. It is the second Spirit of Light whom Link encounters on his journey. Faron resides within the Faron Spring in the Faron Province, both of which are named after it. Faron resembles a long-eared monkey, and it has a very long curled tail. It is always seen wrapping its arms around a bright orb.

History[edit]

Prior to Link's adventure, Faron's power of light is stolen by Shadow Beasts, causing the Faron Province to be engulfed within twilight. Like the other Spirits of Light, when Faron is without its powers, it has the appearance of a small cloud.

When Wolf Link arrives at Faron Spring, he is given a Vessel of Light. After collecting every Tears of Light in Faron Woods, Link returns to Faron, who then returns him to his usual form. Faron tells Link that he is the chosen hero of Hyrule, and also gifts him with the Hero's Clothes.

Faron and the other Spirits of Light are last seen during the final battle against Ganondorf, in which they give the Light Arrows to Princess Zelda. After Ganondorf's defeat, Faron and the other spirits return Midna to her true form.
