The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask description

Powder Kegs are large explosives that appear in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. They can only be used by Goron Link, and they are used to destroy large objects that standard Bombs cannot.

A Powder Keg is first received from the Goron in the Goron Powder Keg Shop near Goron Village. Before he allows Goron Link to purchase any, he tasks him with bringing a lit one to the Goron Racetrack to destroy the boulder blocking the entrance. If Link succeeds, he gives him a free Powder Keg and allows him to purchase them from him in the future for 100 Rupees. Additionally, completing the Goron's task allows Powder Kegs to be purchased from the Bomb Shop in West Clock Town for 50 Rupees. Link can only carry a single Powder Keg at a time.

In addition to being able to blow up objects that standard bombs can, three objects can only be destroyed by a Powder Keg: the boulder blocking the entrance to the Goron Racetrack, the boulder blocking the entrance to Romani Ranch on the first and second days, and a ceiling in Ikana Castle, all of which are required to destroy to complete the game.
