The Giant Eye Plant is a miniboss in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and the first to be encountered at sea. It is found in the Southwestern Sea near Molida Island after recovering the Sun Key, and in fact is the only Eye Plant encountered in that region. Unlike the smaller Eye Plants, it has a magenta muzzle and purple lips. It is also capable of hiding its eye, which is its weak spot, using a flap that resembles a "jaw" on a venus flytrap. Like other Eye Plants, it spits out green spiky balls to attack. It spits three spike balls with its eye shut before opening it, allowing Link to shoot it with the cannon. After five hits, it is defeated, and vanishes in a bright light and some puffs of purple smoke.

Later, an optional encounter can occur near Bannan Island after Link gives the Wood Heart to the Old Wayfarer. Linebeck believes it to be the same one from before, and is defeated in the exact same way.
