History

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

In The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Ice Chuchus are found all across the Snow Realm, first appearing in Anouki Village. As they move, a faint tinkling noise can be heard. Attacking them directly will cause Link to become frozen. If he uses the whirlwind or boomerang to stun them, their icy clouds vanish, allowing them to be attacked. Later range weapons can defeat them normally.

At one point off-screen, an Ice Chuchu falls into the lake at Anouki Village, causing it to develop a film that lowers the quality of the Mega Ice sold by Noko, causing him to need to relocate.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ice Chuchus are common enemies in snowy places like the Hebra region and Gerudo Highlands. They act just like the other elemental Chuchus, charging forward while depleting their energy temporarily. If attacked while energized, they explode in a flurry of ice, which depending on the respective proximity of other enemies and Link can either help or hinder the player. Like ether Chuchus, they come in three sizes. They drop White Chu Jelly when defeated, unless defeated with an elemental weapon of a different type.
