Mushrooms[edit]

Mushrooms also appear in A Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons and Skyward Sword, in addition to different types of mushrooms found in other games like the Odd, Magic, Rock, and Wake-Up Mushrooms. This article is currently about toadstools in Link's Awakening, but should it be expanded to include more? The one from A Link to the Past can easily fit here despite the different flavor text since it is also used to make Magic Powder. LTL (talk) 15:50, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

I think the ALttP one could fit on the article as it's pretty much the same thing (looks like the Japanese name is the same too), except it does not give off weird sideeffects. Results May Vary (talk) 21:36, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
They're a whole family of "scavenger" items in BotW, so that should be mentioned if we go the generic route. I feel Petri Fungus/Rock Mushrooms should be their own article, at any rate. I don't think it's really specified if what turned Tarin into a tanuki was the same type, either, just "a plump, juicy mushroom" or something to that effect. Should the Mushroom from Zelda Oracle of Seasons trading sequence be included on the article too or remain separate? Results May Vary (talk) 22:16, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
I'd say at least keep that one in the same article as the A Link to the Past Mushroom since the Oracle of Seasons sprite is similar and likely modeled after it. Another thing: the artwork of the Sleepy Mushroom from the Link's Awakening manual is essentially a recolored version of the Mushroom from the A Link to the Past manual, so that's also worth consideration.
