Eldin is one of the Spirits of Light in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and its remake, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Eldin is a bird-like creature with a barn owl-like face and very large wings, and it watches over the Eldin Province.
Eldin resides in Eldin Spring, where its power was stolen by Shadow Beasts, causing the area to become covered in twilight and reduce Eldin to a cloud-like form. When Link first encounters Eldin, it gives him a Vessel of Light to collect every Tear of Light in Kakariko Village and Death Mountain. Once Link has done this, Eldin's power is restored, and it changes Link back into his usual form.
Later, after Link completes the Goron Mines, Eldin instructs him to travel to Lanayru Province to find Ilia. Eldin appears again during the final battle against Ganondorf, in which he and the other Spirits of Light combine their powers to create the Light Arrows.
