Error is a minor character who resides in the Town of Ruto in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. He has the same sprite as some of the other Townsfolk.
Originally, when Link speaks to Error, he introduces himself to Link and says, "I am Error". He does not say anything else. Later, when Link visits the Harbor Town of Mido, he can talk to a man there, who advises him to ask Error about the unreachable Island Palace. When Link returns to Error, he reveals the location of a secret tunnel, located south of King's Tomb, which directs Link to the Island Palace.
