The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, often shortened to Ocarina of Time, is the fifth installment of The Legend of Zelda series, and was released on Nintendo 64 in late 1998. Before its release, Ocarina of Time was one of the most highly anticipated games of its time. Upon its release, many critics regard it as one of the greatest video games of all time. Ocarina of Time received a direct follow-up in 2000, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Ocarina of Time was ported to Nintendo 3DS in 2011 with an updated title, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
