The Nintendo 64 is a fifth generation home console that was created and released by Nintendo in 1996. The Nintendo 64 is notable for being the first Nintendo home console with a 64-bit CPU console, hence its name. Two The Legend of Zelda games and the first Super Smash Bros. were released on the Nintendo 64.
In 2003, a system named the iQue Player was released in China. It is a plug and play controller containing the entire system. Only a couple of digitally downloadable Nintendo 64 games, each officially translated into Simplified Chinese, were released for the iQue Player. The Simplified Chinese translation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was added as a launch title for the iQue Player, and a demo of the game is pre-installed on every iQue Player.

Only two The Legend of Zelda games were released on the Nintendo 64: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and the latter game is a direct follow-up of the former game. In Super Smash Bros., Link is one of the playable fighters.
Prior to its release, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was one of the most anticipated Nintendo 64 games of 1998.[2] It would become one of the Nintendo 64's best sellers, with about 7.6 million copies sold worldwide.[3] The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask sold about 3.3 million copies, about half the number that its predecessor sold,[3] but was still one of the better selling games for the Nintendo 64.

Rumble Pak[edit]
The Rumble Pak is an accessory that can be plugged into the back of a Nintendo 64 controller. This causes it to vibrate during certain parts of a game. In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, if a Rumble Pak is inserted and Link has the Stone of Agony, the Rumble Pak rumbles whenever a secret grotto is nearby.
Nintendo 64DD[edit]
The Nintendo 64DD is a disk drive peripheral for the Nintendo 64 that was only released in Japan in December 1999. An add-on to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, named Ura Zelda, was planned for the system but was later cancelled because the Nintendo 64DD was a commercial failure.
Expansion Pak[edit]
The Expansion Pak is an accessory that increases the Nintendo 64's RAM by four megabytes, thus enhancing the performance of some games. The Expansion Pak is optional for most games, as it usually enhances the graphic quality of certain games. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is one of the three games to require the Expansion Pak, the other two are Donkey Kong 64 and Perfect Dark, both of which were developed by Rare.
