Pocket Bombling

Bomblings are large, explosive insects from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. They have round bodies and four spindly legs and come out of holes in the ground, similar to Beetles from previous games. Wild Bomblings are encountered solely in the Forest Temple, while a smaller variety, also known as the Pocket Bombling, appears as an optional item. In the Forest Temple, Bomblings are used as a substitute for normal bombs, which are not obtainable at that point, thus giving them a role similar to Bomb Flowers in other games. When a Bombling notices Link, it will stand defensively over its hole before lunging at him. Once attacked, a Bombling will fall limp to the ground, turning red and sparking. At this point, Link can pick it up and use it to destroy bombable walls or Deku Likes, with the Bombling being replaced by another from the hole soon after. Later encounters, such as during the fight with Diababa, involve using the Gale Boomerang to carry them straight to Link. During the second phase of the fight, Ook instead carries them and they must also be grabbed with the boomerang.
