History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, when Link practices fence-jumping with Epona, she accidentally hurts her leg. This makes Ilia angry, and she takes Epona to Ordon Spring to heal her leg and locks the gate to prevent Link from entering. Link manages to get to Ordon Spring by taking a nearby crawlspace that Colin told him about; the crawlspace is found east of Ordon Spring. Link goes to apologize to Ilia, and she forgives him. Their brief reunion is interrupted by a group of Bulblins led by King Bulblin, who kidnap both Ilia and Colin. Link is left unconscious in the spring water from the attack. The King Bulblin blows his bugle, and a Twilight Portal appears above Ordon Spring. Seconds later, Link regains consciousness and runs out of Ordon Spring to chase the King Bulblin.

After Link (as a wolf) has collected the Ordon Sword and Ordon Shield, he is called by Ordona to return to Ordon Spring. There, he encounters and has his first battle against a Shadow Beast. When Link has defeated the Shadow Beast, Ordona reveals himself to Link and tells about the Light Spirits and that he must restore light to the other three provinces.

Later, there are two optional events that can occur at Ordon Spring. One is that if Link activates a Howling Stone on the Death Mountain trail, a Golden Wolf appears at Ordon Spring, and Link can learn the Shield Attack from him. Another is that if Link has completed the first ten floors of the Cave of Ordeals, a Great Fairy appears and releases fairies to Ordon Spring.
