- This article is a stub. You can help Triforce Wiki by expanding it.
Play Nintendo is a division of Nintendo's North American website. Like the rest of the website, it promotes Nintendo's products and merchandise, although it has a more direct demographic toward a younger audience. There are five sections, each with a self-explanatory title: "Friends", "Activities", "Media", "Printables", and "News & Tips". Each section has content regarding every Nintendo franchise, including The Legend of Zelda series. A similar division exists on the Nintendo of Europe sites, titled Nintendo Kids Club.
Sections
Friends
This is where users can view profiles on Nintendo characters, including antagonists. There are profiles for eight The Legend of Zelda characters, and one of those characters is of a race. The images are based on artwork from either The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD or The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Character | Official description |
---|---|
Link |
Sometimes he’s an adult and sometimes he’s a kid, but he’s always the legendary hero of Hyrule. He has his trusty shield and Master Sword, but Link relies mainly on courage and cleverness to make his way through puzzling dungeons and exciting battles. |
Princess Zelda |
Even when the kingdom is in peril, this brave princess keeps it together. The forces of evil are no match for this regal leader and her friend, Link. The powerful Triforce could not be in better hands. |
Ganondorf |
When something bad happens in Hyrule, this guy is usually behind it. We don’t want to scare you, but you wouldn’t want to face off against this creepy villain without some magical help. He’s after the power of the Triforce, and no trick is too dirty for him. |
Tetra |
Yarr! This pirate girl leads a rag-tag crew in search of treasure on the high seas. She seems pretty gruff and greedy at first, but Tetra has a heart of gold Rupees. She’s also hiding an amazing secret that will change the way you think of her. |
Sheik |
Sheik is a mysterious, masked hero from the Sheikah tribe. When Link runs into trouble, help sometimes comes from the shadows—in the form of a sleek, nimble warrior named Sheik. Why does Sheik look so familiar? |
Tingle |
Kooloo-Limpah! It’s Tingle! With his pointy ears and green suit, one might mistake Tingle for a forest fairy. He’s not actually a fairy (much to his dismay). But he is good at making maps, and that seems to be good enough for Link. |
Epona |
Want a ride? Just call for your trusty steed, and she’ll come running. When you need to cover ground quickly in Hyrule, your faithful horse Epona is an ideal traveling companion. Back on the ranch, the two of you can also join in some fun races. |
Gorons |
These lovable lumps have rocks in their stomachs and a song in their hearts. Beneath the mountains of Hyrule live a strange people called Gorons. Earn their trust, and they will become solid friends when you need a sword—or if you just want to hang out near some lava. |
Activities
A self-explanatory section where users can play games, quizzes, polls, and related activities.
