History[edit]
The Legend of Zelda series[edit]
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Link can borrow the Bunny Hood from the Happy Mask Salesman. By wearing the Bunny Hood, Link can illicit various reactions from other characters, although the Bunny Hood's only effect is preventing Stalchildren from spawning in Hyrule Field at night.
The Bunny Hood has a role during the Happy Mask side quest, in which Link can sell the Bunny Hood to the Marathon Man, who then pays Link the amount of rupees to fill his entire wallet.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, the Bunny Hood has a much different role than in the previous game. Link can obtain the Bunny Hood at Romani Ranch from Grog after using the Bremen Mask to age his Cucco chicks into full-grown Cuccos. While wearing the Bunny Hood, Link can run around faster, thus also increasing his jumping distance. Additionally, wearing the Bunny Hood during the Postman's time precision test allows the player to see the timer for the duration of the test, thus making it easier.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[edit]
In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Bunny Hood makes a cameo in the Nintendo Gallery, in which it is seen behind Carlov.
Super Smash Bros. series[edit]
The Bunny Hood is an item in every Super Smash Bros. game starting with Super Smash Bros. Melee. Like The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, the Bunny Hood allows its users to run faster. Similarly, the Bunny Hood gives its user the ability to jump much higher rather than at a farther distance. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there is a Special Brawl option that has each fighter wear a Bunny Hood for the whole match.
