Lakitus are aerial enemies that appear in the Cloud Tops and the Palace of the Winds in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. They are from the Mario franchise, where they usually appear as enemies, especially in the Super Mario series.

In The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Lakitus attack by throwing thunderbolts at Link instead of Spiny Eggs. Unlike the Mario games, Lakitus' clouds do not have a smiling face, and they do not wear goggles, instead having Octorok-like eyes. Lakitus do not move around. When Link approaches a Lakitu, it hides in its cloud. As a result, Link can only defeat Lakitues from a distance, which includes firing arrows, throwing the boomerang, firing a Sword Beam, or using the Cane of Pacci. Link can use the Gust Jar to remove a Lakitu's cloud, leaving it open to any attack.
