History
The Legend of Zelda series
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the Waterfall of Wishing is mentioned by a drinking man in Kakariko Village to have a beautiful woman near it. When Link arrives there, this turns out to be the Water Faerie, who will give Link the Magical Boomerang and Red Shield if he drops the Boomerang and shield into the water of her Mysterious Pond and answers her question honestly. Additionally, empty Magic Bottles can be filled with Medicine of Magic the same way.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
In The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the waterfall is present, though the associated cave is not. Instead, a rift is located above where the cave was.
BS Zelda no Densetsu Inishie no Sekiban
In BS Zelda no Densetsu Inishie no Sekiban, the Waterfall Of Wishing is now the location of the second dungeon, which is heavily based on the Swamp Palace. Its dungeon item is the Boomerang and its boss is Moldorm. A thief sells an upgrade for bombs in a hidden room near the end of the first floor for 50 Rupees. The second floor is very dark in most rooms.
