The Green Potion, also known as the Medicine of Magic, Green Medicine[1], Green Magic Potion[2], or Stamina Potion, is a restorative potion which appears throughout the The Legend of Zelda titles, starting with The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It typically requires a bottle to contain it. Depending on the game, it recovers either magic or stamina, represented by green.

History[edit]

The Legend of Zelda series[edit]

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the Green Potion is the Medicine of Magic (Magic Medicine on the Sub-Screen), available in the Magic Shop for 60 Rupees. Additionally, if Link throws an empty Magic Bottle in the Waterfall of Wishing and answers the Water Faerie honestly, she will reward him by filling it with the Medicine of Magic.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Green Potion is available in the Potion Shop for 30 Rupees.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, the Green Potion is available in the Magic Hags' Potion Shop for 10 Rupees and the Trading Post for 30 Rupees. It can also be sold in the Curiosity Shop for 20 Rupees.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Green Potion is available in the Chu Jelly Juice Shop for 10 Rupees after giving Doc Bandam fifteen Green Chu Jellies. Additionally, if Link gives five more Green Chu Jellies to Doc Bandam, he will receive a free Green Potion.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword[edit]

In The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, the Stamina Potion is available in the Potion Shop for 50 Rupees. As the Magic Meter does not exist in this game, it instead reduces the depletion time of the stamina gauge for three minutes. It can also be upgraded into the Stamina Potion +, which restores all stamina and makes it undepletable for three minutes.

Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda[edit]

In Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer featuring The Legend of Zelda, the Stamina Potion can be found in several shops.
