The Nintendo Switch is a Nintendo console released in 2017. It succeeded the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS, and it is both a home and handheld console. The Nintendo Switch has three modes of play: handheld, TV, and tabletop.

Games[edit]

Two The Legend of Zelda main series titles have been released for the Nintendo Switch. The first, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was available at launch and is an open-world game. The second, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, is a remake of the Game Boy game of the same name. Two Hyrule Warriors games have also been released for the Nintendo Switch.

There are The Legend of Zelda elements, including playable characters, in the crossover title, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In December 2019, a content update to Super Mario Maker 2 was released, featuring a power-up that makes Link a playable character.
