The Magic Armor is a powerful, golden-plated armor in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Similar to its counterpart from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Magic Armor is optional, and its main purpose is to grant temporary invincibility to Link. To compensate for this, the Magic Armor causes Link to lose two Rupees every second. If Link is hit by an enemy or obstacle, he loses even more Rupees. If he has no Rupees left, the Magic Armor turns black and becomes heavy, impeding Link's movement in a similar fashion to the Iron Boots. Link cannot ride Epona if his Magic Armor is heavy. If Link gets hit by his own cannonball while wearing the Magic Armor, he loses all of his Rupees.
The Magic Armor can be purchased at Chudley's Fine Goods and Fancy Trinkets Emporium in Hyrule Castle Town. At first, the armor is priced at 100,000 Rupees, which is more expensive than the maximum number of Rupees that Link can carry in any of his three wallets. To lower the price, Link must have donated enough money to Malo Mart so that they can buy out Chudley's shop, which reprices the Magic Armor to 598 Rupees.
In Hyrule Warriors and its reissues, the Magic Armor from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess appears as three badges (Magic Armor I, Magic Armor II, and Magic Armor III) that can be crafted at the Bazaar's Badge Market. Each badge reduces damage taken on lightning-element-recommended stages.
