Variant of Deku Baba

Baba Serpents[1][2] are a type of Deku Baba from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. They are distinguished by their brown and black mottled coloration and snake-like shape. At first, they act like normal Deku Babas, but once their stems are cut, they continue to pursue Link by slithering at him and continue to try latching on to him. They first appear in the Forest Templee, and later appear in Hyrule Field following the "Midna's Lament" sequence, a dig cavern between the Lost Woods and the Sacred Grove, and the City in the Sky. They can also appear upside-down and knocked down with the Gale Boomerang, which happens during the battle against Ook.

Certain Twilit Babas in the Palace of Twilight act like Baba Serpents, though there is no other distinction between them and normal Twilit Babas.
