Moldorm (The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past)

Magtails are a variety of Mini-Moldorm mixed with Gohma traits found in molten areas of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. They appear primarily in Dragon Roost Cavern and Fire Mountain, the former of which has a similar Gohma as the boss. Like typical Mini-Moldorms, they move in an erratic winding pattern, though they are much slower. Sometimes, they emerge endlessly from a place in the magma, sometimes stopping once a particular task is completed involving them. When they see Link, they slowly pursue him and attempt to snap him with their massive pincers. If Link counters with a parry, they are defeated immediately. If hit in the eye otherwise, hit with the Grappling Hook, or doused with water, they curl up into a ball and can either be lifted or attacked further to fully destroy them. If the curled-up Magtail falls into magma, it recovers immediately. Lifting one is sometimes required to hold down a switch, as is the case for Dragon Roost Cavern's Big Key Treasure Chest.
