Koridai is a mountainous island and the main setting of Link: The Faces of Evil. During the game's events, Ganon and his henchmen took over Koridai and converted the inhabitants into monsters for his army.[1] Ever since, several mountains each had a Face of Evil, which resembles the boss located that area. The level select shows an overview map of Koridai, and each location is labeled from their name in yellow text. Like Hyrule, Koridai uses Rubies as currency.

History[edit]

In the opening cutscene, Gwonam alerts Link, King Harkinian, and Princess Zelda of Ganon's attack on Koridai. He shows a scroll with a prophecy, which states that Link is the only person who can defeat Ganon. Link goes on Gwonam's magic carpet, and the two leave for Koridai. The entirety of Link's adventure takes place on Koridai, where he seeks Ganon. The areas are accessed in progression order. Link receives help from some of Koridai's inhabitants along the way. Ganon has five main henchmen, who serve as the bosses and are encountered in order from: Goronu, Harlequin, Militron, Glutko, and Lupay.

The final area is Ganon's Lair, which is where the battle against Ganon takes place. It is the same place where Link finds Princess Zelda, who is under a deep slumber. Link can simply defeat Ganon by throwing the Book of Koridai at him. After doing so, Link continues to the next room and wakes Zelda up. After the defeat of Ganon, peace and harmony is restored to Koridai.
