Achemen[1][2] are a type of red Ache capable of assuming a devilish form.

History[edit]

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link[edit]

In Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Achemen start out as red versions of Aches, hanging from the ceiling in the same manner. However, when they fly down, they stop midway through their arc to turn into a fire-spitting demon. After a few fireballs, they change back and finish their arc and return to the ceiling. They take many more hits than normal Aches to defeat and are a notable example of a red enemy being stronger than its blue counterpart, with the opposite normally being true in the game.

In Nabooru, a passive Acheman in its bat form can be found asleep on the ceiling in one of the buildings. If Link repeatedly attempts to talk to it, it eventually tells him about a Heart Container hidden on the ocean.

Link: The Faces of Evil[edit]

In Link: The Faces of Evil, Achemen[citation needed] appear in Militron and Ganon's Lair. They now only appear in their demon form, flying at Link in seemingly endless amounts.
